PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand bush cutter improved in workability and capable of carrying out wide width reaping. SOLUTION: This hand bush cutter is equipped with a frame 22 holding an engine 21, one barrel type wheel 23 installed at the lower end of the frame 22, a handle 24 with which an operator operates by using hands while walking and a reaping blade 25 rotated and driven by the engine 21. The reaping blade 25 is equipped with a downwardly opened housing 1 additionally provided on a rotary disk 39 rotated and driven by the engine 21, covering the upper parts and the circumferential parts of the rotary disk 39 and the reaping blade 25 and having a discharge port 2 for feeding out reaped grass in the tangential direction of rotational circumferential circle of the reaping blade 25, and a blade 3 being radial when viewed in a plane, protrusively provided on the upper surface side of the rotary disk 39 and feeding out the reaped grass. The wheel 23 is installed at a forward and backward intermediate position between the rotary disk 39 provided in the front and grip parts 36 of a handle 24 provided at the rear position, and the wheel 23 is constituted so as to enable free traveling by operation of the grip parts 36 of the handle 24 while supporting whole the weight in a balance state by using a grounding point of the wheel 23 as a supporting point.
