A communication device for communicating speech and data, has a data system (100) comprising a data transceiving device (101), a coupling device, a speech system (200) for transmission and reception of speech data and comprising a speech transceiving device (201). The communication device further comprises a transmission device (401) for transmission of the tariff conditioned signal (205) in the tariff conditioned signal generator (203) of the speech system (200). A tariff determined signal (205a) is supplied to the data transceiving device (101) and is superimposed in the data system with the tariff conditioned signal contained in the speech transmission signal (204), so that the data reception signal contains less signal components of the tariff conditioned signals (205,205a). An independent claim is included for a method for communication of speech and data.
