A means for joining together modular pipes is devised without it being necessary to have supplementary gaskets made of synthetic material; this is achieved by using a metal-to-metal attachment that keeps the modules together by applying a slight pressure at the beginning of the process. <??>With a view to achieving this, one of the modules is non-cylindrical in shape, and its diameter varies gradually and slightly along its length, this variation being with respect to the end of the contiguous model, which is provided with one or more annular protrusions with arched, polygonal or mixed sections, so that they can be arranged tangentially and in peripheral contact with the wall of the module to which they are joined. <??>The "male" end (2) can have more than one annular protrusion (4, 4') that comes simultaneously into contact with the "female" end (1), which is equipped with one or more conical sections with a straight or curved line (3, 3'), for fitting in with the respective annular protrusions (4, 4'). The same level of functionality is achieved if it is the "female" end (1) that is provided with the annular protrusions (4, 4') and the "male" end (2) that provides the fitting sections (6, 6') with a straight or curved line. <??>It has also been envisaged that not only the "male" end (9) but also the "female" end (8) of the attachment, are provided with one or more annular protrusions (4, 4') that act reciprocally, and which come into contact with the attachment sections (10, 10') and (11, 11'), respectively. <IMAGE> |
