PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet feeding device embodied on such a sheet feeding system as to use a sheet feed roll, a separating means and a pressurizing plate, capable of suppressing the deterioration of the sheet feeding performance and establishing a stable sheet feeding operation. SOLUTION: The sheet feeding device includes a supporting structure 35 in which a bearing part 35c to bear a shaft 34 or bearings 36 of a sheet feed roll 31 and a guide part 37 to guide the pressurizing plate 32 in its movement in the pressure contacting direction are formed in consolidation in such an arrangement that their mutual positional relationship is specified, which enables precisely determining the positional relationship between the feed roll 31, the pressurizing plate 32, and the separating means 33, so that it is possible to suppress a poor performance of sheet feeding such as folding of the leading edge, non-feed, etc. and also establish a stable sheet feeding operation.
