In a directivity control apparatus for controlling the directivity of an array speaker system, there are preset a first directivity parameter for realizing a narrow directivity and a second directivity parameter for realizing a wide directivity. The directivity control apparatus selects the first or second directivity parameter in accordance with an instruction of selection of the speaker array directivity characteristic inputted via an operating part. The directivity control apparatus then produces, based on the selected directivity parameter, the delay control information to be supplied to the delay circuit and the gain control information to be supplied to the weighting unit.
