Process for stabilizing a vehicle (1), especially a bus, comprises detecting a value of a rollover parameter which characterizes a tendency of the vehicle to overturn about a roll axis (9) using a sensor device, comparing the detected value to a predetermined threshold value of the rollover parameter, activating braking activities on individual wheels or wheel sets (7) of the vehicle so that the tilt angle is reduced in case the detected value exceeds or reaches the predetermined threshold value and/or the primary stabilization of the direction of travel is generated in case the detected value lies below the predetermined threshold value.
