<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constitution, in which access to the inside of a housing is made easy and paper can be stably supported by the upper face of the housing, in an image forming apparatus, in which a detachable component can be inserted or taken out via the opening of the housing. <P>SOLUTION: A paper ejection tray 70 is arranged on the upper face of the housing 2. The apparatus has the opening 34 for detaching a processing cartridge 20, which is detachably mounted in the housing 2. When an opening part cover 33 is at a closed position, a notch part 70b is closed by the upper-face side cover part 33b. When the cover 33 is in an opened position, the notch part 70b is opened. When the notch part 70b is closed, the upper-face side cover section 33b and a paper ejection tray body 70 are located adjacent to each other so that the paper is supported by both of them; whereas when the notch part 70b is opened, the upper-face side cover section 33b and the paper ejection tray body 70 are separated from each other, and the paper is supported by the paper ejection tray body 70a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
