<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing method of an electrophotographic system with which an image forming apparatus, such as a copying device, a printer, a facsimile, is equipped, and which maintains images of high quality during lapse of time by most adequately maintaining a moving velocity distribution in a developer layer before infiltrating a doctor section of a developing unit, thereby effectively applying electrostatic charge to the developer in a developer stagnation section without exerting excessive stresses thereto and by suppressing the progression of the deterioration in the developer. <P>SOLUTION: The developing method and development apparatus which maintain the developer moving velocity ¾Vc¾ near an upper case section 34 in a developer holding section upstream of a developer regulating member (doctor) 303 at ¾Vc¾>0 are provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
