PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a down-time less machine capable of carrying out a printing continuously, even during the replace of a waste toner bottle though the waste toner bottle is replaced after the machine has stopped conventionally. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with a waste toner buffer, in addition to the waste toner bottle. As for the waste toner carrying force of a first waste toner carrying means from a cleaner to the waste toner buffer part and the waste toner carrying force of a second waste toner carrying means from the waste toner buffer part to the waste toner bottle, the waste toner carrying force of the second waste toner carrying means is made equal to or larger than the waste toner carrying force of the first waste toner carrying means.
