PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly usable scope unit for a portable terminal easily obtaining an image of a narrow place skillfully using the portable terminal such as a cellular phone with a camera in a simple constitution. SOLUTION: This scope unit 10 is provided with an imaging lens 14 obtaining an optical image of a subject, an image guide 16 transmitting the optical image to a camera lens 52 of the cellular phone 50 via relay lens 20, a light guide 24 having one end disposed adjacent to the imaging lens 14, and a lighting system 30 introducing the light to a terminal side of the light guide 24. An optical fiber is used as the image guide 16 and the light guide 24 while white LED 34 is used as a light source of the lighting system 30. The optical image transmitted from the scope unit 10 via the camera lens 52 is photoelectrically converted by an imaging element 54 and the obtained electric signal is converted into an image signal in an image processing part 56 to be displayed on a display part 58.
