<p>A data recording/reproduction device (1) includes a read unit (3) for reading out content data from a mini disc (2) and a control unit (4) for generating a single file by unifying a plurality of discontinuous content units for the content data which has been read out and executing a process for generating relative position information on the respective content units when generating the file. When the read unit reads out the relative position information, if the content units constituting the file generated are formed by discontinuous areas on the recording medium, the control unit divides the content units further into parts at the discontinuity points and generates absolute position information on each part on the recording medium. The relative position information, parts, and absolute position information on the content units constituting the file read out are stored in the table storage unit (6). The file which has been read out is spread into a spread memory (7) as temporary storage means by the parts and the absolute position information. For the parts spread, edition including the operation of division, coupling, deletion, or movement is performed by a data edition unit (8).</p> |
