PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display apparatus provided with an insertion slot for a memory card that prevents a foreign material from being intruded from the insertion slot for the memory card and also prevents the memory card from being fallen off from the insertion slot when the memory card is ejected. SOLUTION: The image display apparatus is provided with: the slot 41 for the memory card 10 located to an upper end of an image display apparatus main body and whose opening is directed upward; a card door 43 for covering an upper part of a rear end of the memory card 10 inserted to the slot 41 in a freely openable/closable way; a card door support mechanism for supporting the card door 43 around a shaft part 44 in a freely openable /closable way; and an energizing means for energizing the card door 43 supported by the card door support mechanism toward a card door closing position.
