PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device which can properly process a manuscript in case that printed matter with an electronic tag for the manuscript contains reproduction inhibiting information in attribute information, in the imaging device capable of reading and using the attribute information of printed matter and initial image data from the electronic tag during reproducing the printed matter with the electronic tag. SOLUTION: In this imaging method, MFP100B conveys manuscripts one by one to a specified reading position with the help of ADF141 and judges whether the reproduction inhibiting information is present in the attribute information recorded in the IC tag with the assistance of an IC tag reader 143B. For the manuscript having no reproduction inhibiting information, its image data which is read from the IC tag by the IC tag reader 143B are outputted by a printing part 151. On the other hand, in case that the printed matter has no IC tag, either of procedures, blank paper output or no output at all is re-sorted depending upon the choice of a user.
