PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for cutting off a cast slab in a continuous casting facility with which the structure is comparatively simple and the maintenance is easily performed and further, which does not cause the bending and the surface flaw of the cut-off cast slab. SOLUTION: This cast slab cutting-off apparatus is provided with a cast slab cutting-off machine 11 shakably arranged in the drawing direction of the cast slab at the upper part of a cast slab drawing pass-line and having an upper edge and a lower edge disposed at the upper and the lower parts so as to sandwich the cast slab S and cutting off the cast slab S by shifting the lower edge upward, and a rear face roller table 12 for feeding out the cut-off cast slab with this cast slab cutting-off machine 11, and constituted so as to vertically move the cast slab cutting-off machine 11 side of the rear face roller table 12 while synchronizing with the vertical movement of a lower edge supporting member 2 by rotatably arranging the lower edge supporting members 2(19, 20) for supporting the lower edge of the cast slab cutting-off machine 11 and the rear face roller table 12 and also, rotatably arranging the reverse cast slab cutting-off machine 11 side of the rear face roller table 12.
