PREFILLED SYRINGE PREPARATION OF CALCITONINS

A prefilled syringe preparation of calcitonins obtained by filling a calcitonin injection, the absorption properties of which on wall have been lowered and which has been sterilized, into a syringe having been sterilized by, in particular, gamma-ray sterilization or gas sterilization. The above prefilled syringe preparation is almost free from the problem of the adsorption of calcitonins on wall occurring in the prior art. Thus, this preparation, which makes it possible to almost accurately administer a definite amount of calcitonins, is highly valuable in injecting calcitonins as a substitute for the existing ample preparations. Moreover, the sterilization can be easily conducted compared with the conventional sterilization procedures, which brings about an additional merit in cost.
