PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manual operating device whereby the number of components in a switch unit is reduced, assembling work is facilitated, a product is miniaturized and its cost is reduced, opening operation by an operating handle is simple and reliable, and safety at the time of operation can be secured. SOLUTION: This manual releasing device is provided with a solenoid operation mechanism which carries out opening and closing operation of the contact of the switch by electromagnetic energy, and keeps the opened and closed condition by a permanent magnet after the closing operation. It is also provided with a connecting body which is connected with the operating rod of the magnetic operating mechanism when manually operating the switch, an spring compressing shaft one end of which is movably combined with the connecting body to compress a spring, and a rotation shaft which is combined with the other end of the spring compressing shaft so as to be movable within a prescribed range, and is rotationally driven by handle.
