PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double-tube heat exchanger wherein vapor as heat medium is supplied between an outer tube and an inner tube and heated fluid is supplied to the side of the inner tube, having an improved effect of preventing the breakage of an inner tube wall due to the collision of condensed water accompanied with the vapor to the outer face of the inner tube. SOLUTION: In the double-tube heat exchanger, the vapor as the heat medium is supplied between the outer tube and the inner tube and the heated fluid is supplied to the side of the inner tube. The double-tube heat exchanger has a portion where the moving direction of the vapor is changed near an inlet for the vapor to the double-tube heat exchanger. It is preferable that the moving direction of the vapor is changed about 90°near the inlet for the vapor to the double-tube heat exchanger. About 90°means a range of 85-95°.
