PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize service setting processing without an influence of image data deterioration by irreversible characteristics for grasping characteristics of an image forming part in an image processor which uses irreversible compression processing of image data. SOLUTION: In the image processor which uses the irreversible compression processing of the image data, formation of an image without disturbing grasping engine characteristics is made possible by associating numbers of a plurality of printer characteristic determination printed images (PG) outputted for grasping the characteristics of the image forming part with a quantization table which holds a quantization factor of each PG.
