GLASS SUBSTRATE WITH PRIMER LAYER AND ANTI-FOGGING ARTICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve alkali resistance of an anti-fogging component comprised of a glass substrate with a resin coating film.

SOLUTION: A primer layer comprising a hydrolysate of a hydrolyzable silicon compound with an alkylene group and a hydrolysate of a hydrolyzable zirconium compound or a hydrolyzable titanium compound is formed on the glass substrate. The weight ratio of zirconium to silicon is 0.0002 or more and 0.0025 or less or the weight ratio of titanium to silicon is 0.0005 or more and 0.0045 or less. The resin coating film having moisture absorbability and/or hydrophilicity is formed on the primer layer.
