PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a disk drive short in profile by simplifying a constitution in which the holding mechanism of an optical disk on a disk tray and an emergency eject mechanism associatively operate, and to realize a safe emergency eject operation by surely holding the opetical disk evenn when a disk drive is vertically arranged. SOLUTION: This disk drive 1, which is provided with a disk tray 3 movable between a loading position capable of recording/reproducing information in/from an optical disk D and an unloading position capable of loading/unloading the optical disk D, is provided with: a holding member 40 always energized in a disk holding direction in the front end of the loading part 38 of the optical disk D of the disk tray 3; and a releasing member 42 for starting advancing at the loading end stage of the disk tray 3.
