METHOD OF MANUFACTURING ANHYDROUS NICKEL CHLORIDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing anhydrous nickel chloride by which nickel chloride hexahydrate which is a raw material for obtaining nickel fine powder by hydrogen reduction is sufficiently dehydrated to prevent the aggregation of the raw material powder. SOLUTION: The nickel chloride is obtained by heating nickel chloride hexahydrate 1 at 200-500°C in a reaction tube 2 in which the pressure is reduced to≤133.32 Pa (1 Torr). The anhydrous nickel chloride is sublimated to produce nickel chloride vapor, which is reduced by hydrogen reduction to manufacture the nickel fine powder. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
