PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic endoscope capable of detaching a miniaturized and shortened imaging unit from a distal end body and adjusting and repairing it without detaching a distal end cover. SOLUTION: This electronic endoscope is constituted of the imaging unit 30 comprising an objective lens unit 33 and a solid-state image sensing device unit 32, and the distal end cover 21 having a mount hole 22 for the imaging unit and insulating and covering the front side of the distal end body 20, a fixing screw 78 uncovered with the distal end cover and inserted from the outside the distal end body into the imaging unit mount hole, a spacer ring 63 energizing the imaging unit to the distal end side of the mount hole by the fixing screw, and a step part 77 abutting and positioning the imaging unit energized by the spacer ring, in the internal circumference of the mount hole of the distal end body.
