Concentrating and stabilizing biological material containing DNA, and especially blood samples comprising partially treating the sample material in a cell lysis bonding buffer system, and bonding the cell nuclei to a functionalized fixed organic or inorganic surface, is new. Concentrating and stabilizing biological material containing DNA, and especially blood samples comprising partially treating the sample material in a cell lysis bonding buffer system, and bonding the cell nuclei to a functionalized fixed organic or inorganic surface, is new. The system uses lysis reagents and solid adsorbents. The surfaces of the adsorbents are functionalized with polymers from acids which can be polymerized or their derivatives for the DNA components to bond.
