The door hinge member (1) may be made of cast or extruded aluminum or aluminum alloy. It has two blind bores (14) in a flat surface (2) in contact with a door made of a single pane of glass. The blind bores are threaded and accommodate fastening screws. There is a flat outer surface (3) at a slight angle to the surface in contact with the door. The end portion (4) has a profiled undersurface (6,7) and has a C-shaped groove (9,10) end holding a hinge pin.
