<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an oxidation-reduction active polymer capable of operating at a low temperature, capable of realizing a large capacity, and scarcely deteriorated even when electrical charge and discharge are repeated, to provide an electrode given by using the same, and to provide a nonaqueous solution-based battery having the electrode as a positive electrode. <P>SOLUTION: The oxidation-reduction active polymer is formed by polymerizing a divalent aromatic compound which has not less than one group comprising a thioamide group, an S-alkylthioamide group, or an S-benzylthioamide group and an isothiocyanate group in its molecule and may further be substituted. Further, the polymer may be formed by polymerizing a divalent aromatic compound which has not less than two groups of the thioamide groups, the S-alkylthioamide groups, or the S-benzylthioamide groups and may be substituted and a divalent aromatic compound which has not less than two groups of the isocyanate groups and may be substituted. The electrode contains any one of the oxidation-reduction active polymers as an electrode material. The nonaqueous solution-based battery is equipped with the positive electrode, an electrolyte, and a negative electrode, wherein the positive electrode comprises the electrode containing any one of the oxidation-reduction active polymers as the electrode material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
