<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deformation, due to environment change, of white keys obtained by sawing apart a plate type member formed by joining a plurality of small wood pieces together. <P>SOLUTION: A plate type member BD is manufactured by joining a plurality of small wood pieces 10 together with an unillustrated adhesive in the array direction of keys, and then sawed apart into white keys wk and black keys bk for two octaves. White keys wkC, wkF, and wkB each have a joining line L present only in a black key front area S2 and not present in a length area S3. None of other white keys has a joining line L over the entire area.
