<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector of which, the thickness can be reduced for responding to the needs of the reduction of the size of electronic devices. <P>SOLUTION: The connector comprises a housing 10 housing a plurality of contact members 11 and an opening 12, an actuator 30, and a metal cover 20 covering a part of the housing 10. The housing 10 has a part to be locked 17, and the metal cover has a locking part 28 locked in the part to be locked 17.
