PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain running stabilizer capable of preventing troubles in low speed running and high speed running. SOLUTION: Track of a chain 3 is stabilized as a slide-contacting main body part 12a of a slipper member 12 slide-contacts the chain 3 when the chain 3 runs at low speed, and a free span F becomes long. Consequently, the chain 3 intrudes into the slipper member 12 after meandering of the chain 3 is sufficiently damped in a region of the free span F even when the meandering of the chain 3 is generated. Additionally, a high speed slide-contacting part 12b positioned on the upstream side in the chain running direction of the slide-contacting main body part 12a slide-contacts the chain 3 and stabilizes the track when the track of the chain 3 bulges outward by centrifugal force in the high speed running. That is, the track is stabilized at an early stage as the chain 3 bulged outward runs along a concave guide line of the high speed slide-contacting part 12b. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
