PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of performing accurate switching control, by making an output of the secondary side materialize accurately at the primary side. SOLUTION: This switching power supply is an isolated type that, provided with a power source, a transformer connected to the power source, and a switching means that switches a current flowing to a primary coil of the transformer, outputs energy generated at the primary side of the transformer by sending it to the secondary side based on the operation of the switching means. Furthermore, this switching power supply is provided with a modulating means that modulates an output of the secondary side of the transformer, a transferring means that transfers the output of the modulating means to the primary side, a demodulating means that demodulates the output transferred by the transferring means, and a switching-means control circuit that controls the operation of the switching mean. Based on the output of the demodulating means, the operation of the switching means is controlled, and the switching-means control circuit is provided at the primary side.
