IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, IMAGE PROCESSOR, AND IMAGE PROCESSING PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly process an image with respect to an extracted facial area by adequately extracting the facial area from the image.

SOLUTION: When the facial area is extracted from an original image, an image adjustment processing part 704 extracts an eye area included in the original image at first. Log-polar coordinate transform with the eye area as a center is performed in the original image. A skin color area is extracted from the transformed image through the use of a simple area extension method. An image processing is performed in the image area of the original image corresponding to the extracted skin color area.
