<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the mounting of a grip on a golf club shaft without using solvent and lubricant. <P>SOLUTION: This apparatus 10 for mounting the grip G on the golf club shaft S is provided with a cylinder 11 inserting the grip G in its hollow part 11a and having an open end and the other closed end, a diameter expansion means expanding the open end G-2 of the grip G inserted in the cylinder 11, and an air exhaust means 14 inside the cylinder 11. The diameter expansion means is provided with a plurality of claws 43 inserted in the open end G-2 of the grip G inserted in the cylinder 11 and positioned inside the open end 11b, and a driving part driving the claws 43 in the outer diameter direction. The diameter expansion means makes the outer surface of the open end G-2 of the grip G abut on the internal circumferential face of the open end 11b of the cylinder 11, air between the cylinder internal circumferential face and the grip outer circumferential face is deflated through an air bleeder 11f to inflate the grip G, and the thick diameter end side of the golf club shaft S is inserted in the grip G retained in the cylinder 11 with its inflated state to mount the grip G. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
