<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means by which a user can easily instruct a video recorder in the home to video record without being conscious of the difference in broadcast channel between areas. <P>SOLUTION: When a video recording operation is applied to a video recorder in the user's own home by a switch 7 during receiving television broadcast, a CPU 8 finds the television station during being received from positional information and a channel table, and finds the television station (channel) of the own home corresponding to the channel during being received from a channel table of the area of own home, referring to the channel table stored in a memory 9. Then, the CPU 8 uses a radio unit 3 to transmit the IP address of the video recorder in the own home, the found channel information of the own home area, and an instruction of video recording start to a base station 2. The base station 2 uses the Internet to transmit the channel information and the instruction of video recording start to the video recorder in the own home.
