METHOD FOR PRODUCING WATER-DISINTEGRABLE PAPER AND WATER-DISINTEGRABLE CLEANING ARTICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing water-disintegrable paper instantaneously disintegrating to a fiber level.

SOLUTION: The wet method for papermaking and producing the water-disintegrable paper containing a water-soluble, a water-swellable or a water-insoluble binder is carried out as follows. A water-disintegrable fiber is used as a raw material and a paper layer is formed in a wire part to provide a wet web or dried paper. At least one kind of surfactant selected from an amphoteric surfactant, a nonionic surfactant and an anionic surfactant in an amount of 0.1-40 wt.% based on the dried fiber weight is added thereto and the wet web or paper is then dried to afford the water-disintegrable paper.
