PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure sufficient torque load capacity, to maintain constant velocity, to facilitate assembly of each of constitutional elements, to reduce cost and to realize compactness and a high working angle of a fixed type constant velocity universal joint. SOLUTION: This fixed type constant velocity universal joint is furnished with a joint outer ring 1 and a joint inner ring 2 forming a plurality of track grooves 13 along the axial direction with equal intervals in the circumferential direction on inner and outer spherical surfaces 11, 12, a plurality of balls 4 arranged on ball tracks formed by both of the track grooves 13, 14 of the joint outer ring 1 and the joint inner ring 2 in cooperation, a cage 3 to hold the balls 4 arranged on the ball tracks and a stem shaft 5 arranged in the rear of the joint inner ring 2 and to support the joint inner ring 2 in the axial direction. A front opening side groove bottom of the track groove of the joint outer ring 1 is formed in a tapered shape linearly diametrically enlarging toward the opening end. A rear opening end of the joint outer ring 1 has an inside diameter larger than an outside diameter of the joint inner ring 2, and an inside diametrical surface of the cage 3 has the front side from a center in the axial direction made into an inner spherical surface 17 in a shape free to regulate movement of the joint inner ring 2 to the front side and the rear side made into an inner cylindrical surface 18 in a shape free to move the joint inner ring 2 in the axial direction.
