PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To treat dust flowing into an intake without taking human time and labor. SOLUTION: This dust removing device 1 installed at the intake 3 for taking in water from a main stream has a screen 4 formed in cylindrical shape by arranging horizontal bars 25 of annular shape in multiple vertical stages, to catch dust included in a flowing water flowing into the intake 3 from the main stream, and a driving part 6 for rotating the screen 4 around a vertical rotation axis A. The screen 4 is rotated by the driving part 6 so that the main stream facing side moves in a direction along the flow of the main stream, to deliver dust caught by the screen 4, downstream of the main stream from the screen 4.
