PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage control subsystem for easily executing the access management of a logical volume from a host. SOLUTION: Prior to the execution of copying, a host 1 instructs a disk array device 11 to collect the information of a control memory 7 concerning the state of a logical volume 10 as a target, and the disk array device reads the information of the control memory 7, and reports information concerning the logical volume 10 as a target to the host 1.
