<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus and a communication method, wherein trouble is not generated in communication with other stations to be communicated and power consumption is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: A transmission power control method is provided with a step which receives a radio wave signal, a step which decides whether a first identifying signal is contained in the radio wave signal; a step which detects received electric field strength of the radio wave signal; a step which obtains radio wave propagation status with the other station, by using the detected received electric field strength and determines transmission power of a transmitting radio wave signal, based on the radio wave propagation status; a step which cancels the radio wave propagation status which was obtained at the time of former receiving, when time interval from ending of communication until communication is started again is longer than time duration which is previously determined; a step which superimposes a second identifying signal on the transmitting radio wave signal; and a step which controls so that value of transmission power of the transmitting radio wave signal becomes a value which was determined in the former step. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
