<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new polyolefin which can be produced by using a cationic nickel complex containing a selected phosphine ligand and usable as a part of a polymerization catalyst for producing polyethylene and some ethylene copolymers. <P>SOLUTION: A polyolefin containing ethyl branch, whose at least 53% ethyl branch is a part of sec-butyl terminal branch and which polyolefin has at least 50 branches per 1,000 methylene groups, polyethylene or a copolymer whose at least 50% alkyl branch is ethyl branch and which copolymer is a copolymer of one or multiple kinds of monomers selected from a group consisting of homopolyethylene, α-olefins, internal olefin, cyclopentene and styrenes with ethylene, however the copolymer of the homopolyethylene, cyclopentene and styrenes with ethylene have at least 1.0 branch per 1,000 methylene groups, and a copolymer of one or multiple kinds of nobornenes with ethylene which copolymer has at least 2.0 methyl groups at the branch ends per 1,000 methylene groups, are provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
