PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new DNA having a specific base arrangement, coding swine complement inhibitor and required for manifesting, etc., human complement inhibitor for preventing rejection caused by complement activation in relating to capability of transplanting a swine tissue to human. SOLUTION: This new DNA coding swine complement inhibitor comprises the base arrangement or a part of it expressed by the formula. In a study for transplanting a swine tissue to human, the new DNA is required to obtain a promoter of the swine complement inhibitor which is necessary to manifest human complement inhibitor, capable of suppressing hyperacute rejection caused by complement activation in the transplantation, in the swine tissue. The swine complement inhibitor DNA can be obtained by separating mRNA from endothelial cells of a swine blood vessel by a usual method, preparing a cDNA library using the same, introducing it into a host, add an antibody and a complement component against the host, separating living hosts, screening clone having complement inhibitor gene and recovering the DNA. |
