PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce construction costs of the whole work, by stably performing construction, by facilitating operation of a shield machine, by maximally simplifying the shield machine, a segment or a jacking mechanism, when constructing a width expanded part in a shielded tunnel. SOLUTION: Boring is advanced by a circular shield machine 1 corresponding to an excavation cross section of the width expanded part. When constructing a general part except for the width expanded part, an inside segment 6 is assembled and lined in a circular shape. A filler 10 is injected into a space part between an excavation wall surface of the tunnel and an outer peripheral surface of the inside segment 6. When constructing the width expanded part, an outside segment 7 is assembled and lined in a circular shape. A boring advance of the circular shield machine 1 is performed over the tunnel total length by a plurality of shield jacks 8 arranged in the inside segment 6 so as to take jacking reaction.
