In order to reduce the size of the switching system, the storage device comprises several banks of registers ( 21, 22 ) for storing words, the switching system comprises at least one switching device ( 24 ) associated with each bank of registers and the calculation units exchange a word with a bank of registers by means of the associated switching device.
