<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intersection traffic measuring system that is low in cost, poses no aesthetic problem and can perform precise tracking, even if vehicle images overlap. <P>SOLUTION: A single wide angle camera 1 is installed at a low position in an intersection, and each vehicle is tracked from images picked up by the wide angle camera. A vehicle-labeling processing part 42 extracts vehicle objects and assigns IDs. A tracker processing part 5 detects motion vectors of each vehicle object and determines, to which region of the intersection each vehicle object belongs to track the vehicle object, and when vehicle objects separate, performs reverse processing to make the vehicle tracking accurate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
