PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display element capable of appropriately connecting a flexible wiring board to the liquid crystal display element by preventing the occurrence of displacement in the flexible wiring board in connecting the flexible wiring board to the liquid crystal display element. SOLUTION: An area 1a of the flexible wiring board 1 not participating in the connection to a lead terminal 13 of a panel substrate 2 is temporally bonded by an adhesive 14 to the liquid crystal display element 5 and thereafter, an anisotropic conductive material 8 is cured to connect the electrode terminal of the flexible wiring board 1 and the lead terminal of the panel substrate.
