EXHAUST GAS CIRCULATING DEVICE OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a plenty of circulating gas flow into a gas intake passage while restraining contamination of the inside of the gas intake passage by the circulating gas. SOLUTION: The exhaust gas circulating device of the engine 1 is furnished with a first circulating passage 31, a second circulating passage 32 and a two-way change-over valve 42. The first circulating passage 31 extends from a catalyst upstream part 12a on the upstream side of a catalyst unit 14 in an exhaust gas passage 12 to the gas intake passage 2 and circulates exhaust gas from the catalyst upstream part 12a. The second circulating passage 32 extends from a catalyst downstream part 12b on the downstream side of the catalyst unit 14 in the exhaust gas passage 12 to the gas intake passage 2 and circulates the exhaust gas from the catalyst downstream part 12b. The two-way change-over valve 42 switches circulation by the first circulating passage 31 and circulation by the second circulating passage 32. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
