PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating resister and the like, which can bring about a high-quality recorded image over a long period of time. SOLUTION: The heating resistor 1005, which is provided in the liquid ejection head for ejecting a liquid from an ejection port by using thermal energy, is composed of FeSiON which comprises 15-30 at% Fe, 35-60 at% Si, 10-50 at% N and 1-10 at% O, based on a composition ratio, and wherein the composition ratio of Fe, Si, N and O reaches 100 at% or approximate 100 at%.
