CALLUS AND PLANT BODY OF NEW GENOTYPIC CMS RAPHANUS SATIVUS LINEAGE AND HYBRID SEED PRODUCED THEREFROM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a callus of the NWB-CMS (cytoplasmic male sterility) Raphanus sativus lineage having new genotypic CMS characteristics and to provide a plant body of the NWB-CMS Raphanus sativus lineage induced from the callus and asexually propagated by tissue culture and to provide a method for producing the plant body.

SOLUTION: The callus of the NWB-CMS Raphanus sativus lineage (an accession number of KCTC 10339BP) characterized as having the CMS characteristics and containing a specific base sequence is obtained. The ratio of male sterility introduction into an F1 plant body of the NWB-CMS Raphanus sativus lineage is higher than that of the Ogura-CMS Raphanus sativus lineage conventionally utilized for producing F1 hybrid seeds.
