<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store a procedure for continuously operating multiple functions, to repeatedly use the operation procedure of the multiple functions several times by reading the stored procedure and to provide an environment wherein a record file storing the procedure can readily be formed, updated, read and registered. <P>SOLUTION: This multifunction printer 3 is provided with a memory means (a large capacity memory) 34 for storing the procedure for continuously using the multiple functions as the record file, and a device control means 35 having a record file processing means 356 including a means for updating the file, a means for registering the file and a means for reading the file, and a means for continuously operating the multiple functions according to instructions described in the file.
