<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the quality of saddle stitching/inside folding at low cost without complicating a mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: When the size of a paper sheet is determined to be small, a folding plate is projected to a conveyance route (S152), when an end part of a paper bundle abuts on the folding plate (S153), a first bundle conveyance roller on the upper side is stopped (S154), and a pressing force of the bundle conveyance roller is turned off (S155). Then, a second bundle conveyance roller on the lower side is pressed (S156), the folding plate is made to retreat to release the conveyance route (S157), and the paper bundle is conveyed downward by the second bundle conveyance roller (S158).
