<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a clearance from occurring between the underside of a housing 3 and the top face of a head substrate 1. <P>SOLUTION: The optical printer head is provided with a long base plate 5, a long head board 1 having a light-emitting element array 2 composed of many light-emitting elements mounted on the base plate 5 and arranged in a row or a zigzag in the longitudinal direction on the top face, and a long housing 3 having a rod lens array 4 on the top face, a part of the underside of which is made to butt against the top face of the head board 1 and covering the head board 1 in which a protrusion t is provided on the underside of both longitudinal ends of the housing 3, a through hole k through which the protrusion t is put is provided in the head board 1, and the protrusion portion t and the through hole k are fitted into each other.
