<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that it is difficult to surely open/close a paper transport guide with the pressing force of a conventional torsion coil spring, due to conditions that the paper transport guide is large and heavy, the pinching pressure of a pinch roller is high, an opening/closing angle is large and other paper transport guides and a cover or the like are opened/closed within the opening/closing extent in the case of closing the opening/closing paper transport guide. <P>SOLUTION: The paper transport guide has such constitution that a paper transport roller and the pinch roller are arranged in parallel in a horizontal direction, and between the transport roller and the pinch roller, an upper transport guide for guiding the paper and a lower transport guide to which the pinch roller is attached and which is turned around the rotating shaft, and also which is released from being locked with the upper transport guide with the action of a lever and also releases the pinching pressure of the pinch roller when the lower guide is opened are arranged in parallel, wherein the paper transport guide is provided with, in the rear side of the lower transport guide, a spring for pushing up the opposite side of the lever of the lower transport guide and a reinforcing member for holding the spring so that a locking mechanism opposite to the raised lever may be locked first when the lower transport guide is rotated in a closing direction with the opening/closing operation of the lower transport guide. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
